Thiruvallur

Due to continuous efforts by TLM and the pro active initiatives of the secretary ADW, the collector of Tiruvallur, conducted a special Grievance day meet for the Puthirai Vannars of the district on 17.02.2014, at the collectorate. He presided over the meeting in which the convener of TLM brought before him the issue of non-issuance of PV community certificates in the district. Over 200 people participated in it.

The collector made arrangements for the immediate issuance of the membership cards and promised PV community certificates after due verification, within a month. This special grievance day meet was the first of its kind in the state, conducted exclusively for the most neglected puthirai vannar community. We hope other districts emulate such an example.
